Dry Skin Care in Nigeria

Dry skin lacks oil and water, so it feels tight, rough or flaky, and it gets worse in harmattan and in air-conditioned rooms. The goal is to hydrate and lock moisture in.

Your routine, step by step

  1. Cleanse with a creamy, non-foaming cleanser. Avoid very hot water.
  2. Layer a hydrating serum with hyaluronic acid or ceramides on damp skin.
  3. Seal with a rich cream or barrier moisturiser morning and night.
  4. Do not skip sunscreen. A hydrating or creamy SPF works well.

Common questions

Why is my skin so dry in harmattan?

The air is very low in humidity, which pulls water from your skin. Moisturise more often and use a richer cream.

How often should I exfoliate dry skin?

Once a week at most, with a gentle product, or skip it if skin is irritated.
