Oily Skin Care in Nigeria

Oily skin makes extra sebum, especially in Nigerian heat and humidity, which can mean shine by midday, enlarged-looking pores and breakouts. The goal is to balance oil, not strip it.

Your routine, step by step

  1. Use a gentle gel or foaming cleanser twice a day. Harsh scrubbing makes skin produce more oil.
  2. Add niacinamide or salicylic acid (BHA) to calm shine and clear pores. Start a few nights a week.
  3. Moisturise with a light gel or lotion. Skipping moisturiser can make oil worse.
  4. Wear a lightweight, non-greasy sunscreen every morning, SPF 30 or higher.

Common questions

Does oily skin need moisturiser?

Yes. Dehydrated skin often produces more oil. Choose a light gel or lotion.

What ingredient is best for oily skin?

Niacinamide and salicylic acid are the most popular for shine and clogged pores. Introduce one at a time.
